Olmsted Falls Super Fan - Jack Warning

On Friday, February 22, the Olmsted Falls Athletic Boosters honored Jack Warning as the Olmsted Falls Super Fan. Jack has been a fixture at Olmsted Falls High School sporting events for over 4 decades. He truly defines what a Super Fan is.

In his early years, Jack was a 3-sport high school athlete. He even played baseball and ran track in the same season, earning awards along the way. He played basketball at Baldwin Wallace and continued the sport while serving in the Army, where his company team won a division championship. He’s never stopped playing basketball and still participates twice a week in pickup games at age 82.

He moved to Olmsted Falls in 1971 with his wife, Lenore, and almost immediately began to attend high school basketball games. Before long, he had 3 daughters and spent many years coaching them, as well as countless other girls, in softball to prepare them for high school athletics. He has also taught basketball fundamentals at the Olmsted Falls Community Center, coached the Olmsted Falls Boys Middle School Basketball Team and the Olmsted Falls Girls Freshmen Basketball Team, refusing to accept a paycheck and instead donating his earnings to the Athletic Boosters. He also started a successful 3-on-3 basketball tournament, while serving as the Athletic Boosters President, which ran for 12 consecutive years. He has been a fixture in our stands for many years, across many sports, at both home and away games, and watched his grand-daughters dance and cheer for our Bulldog teams. He even follows athletes, who have graduated from Olmsted Falls High School and continue playing in college, sometimes attending games depending on the location.

Congratulations, Jack!

2018 - 2019 Patron Program

Once again, the successful athletic program in the Olmsted Falls School System has 65 teams representing Olmsted Falls in 22 interscholastic sports. Each year the Athletic Booster Club calls upon the residents of the community to help defray the costs of operating our sports program. Over the last few years, the Athletic Booster Club provided substantial funds necessary to assist in financing our interscholastic athletic program. Our contribution to the athletic department is used for the following items: new equipment, officials, medical supplies, awards, tournament expenses, entry fees, uniforms and scholarships. The Athletic Booster Club has also been involved in major projects such as the weight room/training room renovation, tennis and track facilities, baseball/softball diamonds, soccer facility and the football stadium renovation.
